Wayland Strickland — Director


Wayland Strickland is Star Trek: Elokomin’s Director (Also writer, DP, editor). He’s a self-proclaimed cat person who is known to be silly, serious, sometimes funny, technical and best of all a Star Trek fan from the age of six.

“The first episode I saw was Devil in the Dark in 1972. TAS premiered the next year.. loved it, too. I made my own 8mm film movies from 1974 to 1981 off and on during the summers. I’ve been in the TV business as a professional since 1985.”

Wayland was a beta tester for NewTek on the Video Toaster, Lightwave3D, Microsoft, Digital Equipment Corp, Digital Processing Systems, Commodore Amiga Computers and many others.

His production company has a client base which includes names such as Wal-Mart, Target, Nabisco, K-Mart, Walt Disney, Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox, numerous major automobile manufacturers, and more.

He has experience on several TV series and two movies.
